Dr. Singh is a career Foreign Service Officer and was most recently the Acting Director of USAID's Center for Faith Based and Community Initiatives. Prior to that, he was Acting USAID Mission Director in Mali. Mr. Singh also completed recent tours in Bosnia-Herzegovina as the Director of the Democracy Office and lead for Countering Violent Extremism and in Tokyo, Japan as the USAID Senior Development Counselor, where he oversaw global cooperation and coordination between the U.S. and Japan. Jay previously served as the Senior Development Advisor to the Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa. Mr. Singh holds a doctorate degree from the University of Washington, Seattle and master’s degrees in business administration and in international diplomacy.
