BURN is the first cookstove company to receive investment from either Acumen Fund, OPIC or GE. Under Peter’s leadership, BURN has sold more than 250,000 modern cookstoves since 2013 and BURN has impacted more than 1.3 million people by collectively reducing fuel costs by $43 million and offseting the equivalent of 1.4 M tonnes of CO2 emissions. More than 40% of BURN’s customers live below the $2 per day World Bank poverty line.
